The display on my notebook computer Acer Aspire 5315 has cracked. How much would you charge for a replacement?

If yours is the common display model 15“ XGA or 15,4“ WXGA, the replacement would cost EUR 222 including VAT.
Unfortunately, information on the computer model is not sufficient to determine the type of the display used. To give you the final price of the display replacement, we need to know which display model is best suited for your computer. You must tell us, apart from the computer model, the following information:
- display dimensions and format (e.g. 15.4“ Wide), and
- display resolution (e.g. WXGA or 1,440 x 900).
If you cannot do that, send your computer to our company. We will then let you know what type of display is used in your computer and what replacement options there are. Provided you order the replacement work, such analysis will have been done free of charge.

I would like to purchase an LCD panel of size 15“and resolution 1,024 x 768. What is your price?

We are sorry to inform you that we do not sell LCD screens to individual customers. The main reason for this company policy is the fact that computer screen replacement needs special equipment, skills and expertise. We therefore prefer to supply LCD screens and spare parts only to authorised service centres and other professionals. However, we can offer you replacement of the LCD screen in your computer. The price of such work will include the price of the replacement screen as listed in our current product price list.

Is it possible to order with you a CCFL discharge tube 290mm long, diameter 2mm? What would your price be? I have been looking high and low and you appear to be the only company that might help me.

Yes, provided you are a service organisation, we can supply CCFL discharge tubes of specified dimensions to you. The minimum order quality for discharge tubes is 20 pieces and the selling price depends on the actual acquisition price. If you are an individual customer, we can offer you replacement of the discharge tube in your display performed in a special clean room needed for these purposes. We do not recommend discharge tube replacement or any other repair or maintenance action on your display because dust may cause visible deterioration of the display image.

How long may the display replacement on my notebook computer take?

Provided the subject display is of a common type and we have the replacement part on stock, the replacement work will be done within one working day. With the necessary transport time, you may have your notebook computer back in 3 to 4 days. If your display is less common and a replacement part it is not readily available, we will have to order it, which may take additional 1 to 2 weeks.
